Preparing for JSIam

Are you ready for the Junior Scientist & Industry annual meeting?

To make the most out of the JSIam, here are a few tips:

  1. It’s time to make sure your CV is up-to-date and and formatted for the non-academic sectors you are interested in! Bring a few copies along with business cards on the event day.
  2. You may have a great ResearchGate profile, but it’s not the most relevant online network if you’re considering a career in industry, consulting, or going the entrepreneurship route. If you do not have a LinkedIn profile, create yours, with a custom URL, and start connecting with your colleagues and peers. You can find tips here and here for instance. And follow GIANT!
  3. Stand out from the crowd even before the event begins, and present your skills, interests and career objectives in the #Doc4Office contest! Submit your entry by 8 March, and as early as the registrations open!
